Application Deadline
The deadline to apply for the joint PharmD/MBA program is April 1.
Can I graduate with both the PharmD and MBA at the same time?
Yes. Students may receive both degrees in the same semester. You must complete the MBA within seven academic years of your original admission to the MBA program.
How are GPAs calculated for the joint degree?
You will have two separate GPAs: one for business and one for pharmacy. Pharmacy GPA alone determines pharmacy class ranking and percentiles. To remain in good standing in the MBA program, you must maintain a 3.0 GPA.
What if I decide not to continue with the MBA?
Pharmacy students who choose to discontinue the MBA must notify the McWhorter School of Pharmacy associate dean for academic affairs.
Is there a limit to how many credits I can take each semester?
Yes. Students may register for up to 21 credits per full semester. You may petition the associate dean for academic affairs to exceed this limit.
Can I drop the MBA and still come back to finish it later?
Yes. Brock School of Business will honor shared pharmacy credit if you:
- Began the joint degree before graduating with the PharmD degree
- Were in good standing with Brock School of Business
- Request readmission within one full semester after PharmD graduation to restart MBA coursework
