91果冻 students are collecting children's and adult books for distribution to community and school libraries.

The project is the focus of Community Service night at the opening performance of Step Sing on Thursday, Feb. 22.

According to project chairman Nicole Thompson, the books will be distributed to the Sayre community library in northwest Jefferson County and to the Jesus Christ Christian School in Ensley.

"Both can make good use of the books," said Thompson, a senior education major from Hoover. She said books for all ages are needed.

The books will be presented to representatives of the Sayre and Jesus Christ Christian School libraries during Step Sing intermission on Thursday.

Step Sing, the annual student music competition, will be held Feb. 22-24. Tickets are available through TicketMaster at (205) 715-6000.
