Several 91果冻 groups are hosting a community awareness event April 5 to emphasis the relationship of Christianity and community during Holy Week.

The 7:30 p.m. event in Andrew Gerow Hodges Chapel is free and open to the public.

The concert will feature the Samford Gospel Choir and the Student Ministries Choir. Samford President Andrew Westmoreland will speak briefly.

"Our goal is to foster contemplation on the sacrifice of Jesus dying on the cross and how it relates to community," said Gospel Choir President Roderick Evans, a senior from Stevenson, Ala. "We want to help bridge the gap between Samford and the surrounding community."
